B.ed (Bachelor of Education)

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a 2-year undergraduate teaching program that enables you to pursue a career in teaching and other related fields.
The B. Ed degree is necessary for teaching at the secondary (classes 6 to 10) and higher secondary (classes 11 and 12) divisions.

Eligibility:

  1. Qualification required to get eligible for Bachelors of Education is to possess an aggregate of 50-55% in 10+2 from a recognized board or university or you have to qualify the entrance exam.
  2. For B.Ed admissions there is no age bar. The pass percentage for B.Ed admission may vary from college to college.
  3. In Particular, there is no specific age bar determined to pursue this course, but a few of the colleges ask for a minimum of 19 years of age for offering admission to this course.

D.ed (Diploma in Education)

D.Ed is a 2 year certificate-level course in education that enables an aspirant to become nursery school teacher.
D.Ed course aims to provide government schools with the knowledge of teaching in primary schools.

Eligibility:

  1. The basic eligibility criterion required for pursuing D.Ed course is the successful qualification of class 12 from a recognized educational Board.
  2. A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the undergraduate level and a minimum aggregate score of 55% at post-graduate level is necessary for admission into the D.Ed course.
  3. In Particular, there is no specific age bar determined to pursue this course, but a few of the universities ask for a minimum of 19 years of age for offering admission to this course.
